Harry Potter's Finale.

As I have dared -- with Gryffindor nerve for I feared it's finality, Slytherin's ambitiousness for feeling the triumph of my Ravenclaw's wit with my guessed theories being almost all right, and a Hufflepuff's loyalty to the author, the books and all its characters,-- finally finished reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (HP7), my heart skipping and missing beats as I read, I have realized one big thing:

No books, ideas, plots will ever
bind me to it as magically as this series has.

I have never cried nor fallen in love with book characters till J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter came along.

I can't, and don't want to, shout out what I had guessed right.
I can't, and don't want to, mourn 'out loud' for (fictive) characters who didn't make it till the very end.
I can't, and don't want to, spoil it for those who still haven't read..

I probably sound loony to anyone not entirely in to the thing, and cliché to those that think /they/ are the most die-hard fans.

I didn't want it to end.
It's why I postponed reading it.
Frankly, I still haven't digested it. Haven't fully realized it.
Genuinely, I still don't want that it ended.
But it has. (In too short a time, I couldn't put the book down)
And Rowling ((with exception of that final (and rather unnecessary) 'chapter' - which did not get enough credit to be called that)) couldn't have done it any more perfectly.

Hopefully they gave this book better care filming it than they have with it's six predecessors.
They'd better, seeing as they extended the time from a rough two and a half hours to about five.. I hope it doesn't ruin it.

I'm still working on this, still dealing with it.
It might take a rather long while.
But that's alright.
All is well.

  1. The fact that they split the movie in two should be some indication that they want to remain fairly honest to the book. Or it ends after one hour and the next nine will be the extravagant, puppet-filled musical finale.

  2. I was moving back to the city while you wrote this
and have been busy getting my stuff in place
so I didn't notice until just now..

...its been a busy while lately ,very busy.

You know there are tons of Harry Potter fanfics
out there ,right? Some of them are really good!

I started reading one while the official books
were still in making and could actually say
that the fanfic picked off and turned the story
in a way so that I actually got a bit let down
when the official book came out that time..

...I hope to chat with ya again sometime soon ,
its been far too long since we chatted..

...and I'm glad that all is well :3

  3. YES! MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY! If you're a loony, then I'm a loony as well. x'D
I sometimes feel foolish about it, but I'd want nothing so much as to live 7 years in Hogwarts! >.< Or even one, if 7 was too much of a wish to grant! Or if I could even just have a wand! D; I'd be happy forever!
    GRRAAAHHH!
Either way, I'm glad you finally read the books. :3 And I'm glad to tell you that at least in my opinion, the newest movie was the best, and even good. And I've mostly hated the Harry Potter movies for ruining the story. So yeah. Hopefully you'll find it just as good. x3
